4. Website Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is operated and hosted via the HubSpot platform (HubSpot, Inc., 25 First Street, Cambridge, MA 02141, USA).
When you visit the website, HubSpot automatically collects technical data, including:
- IP address (shortened/anonymized where configured)
- Date and time of access
- Browser and operating system used
- Pages visited / referrer URL
This data is processed to ensure smooth operation, evaluate system security, and for statistical purposes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).
International data transfer: As HubSpot is based in the USA, your personal data may be transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA. 6. Contact, "Join" Form, and Community Sign-up
When you contact us via the "Join THE VALUE RELOCATION PROJECT" form or a contact form, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, possibly company/role) solely to process your inquiry or manage your community membership.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measure/contract performance) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), where no contractual relationship exists.
Data processing is carried out technically via HubSpot (see Section 4).
7. Newsletter / Project Updates
If you sign up to receive essays, case studies, framework updates, or similar content, we use your email address to send these materials. Sign-up uses a double opt-in process: after signing up, you will receive a confirmation email that you must confirm.

8. Web Analytics
Where used (e.g. via HubSpot Analytics or comparable tools), we analyze usage behavior on our website to improve content (e.g. which essays are read, time on page, bounce rate). This data is pseudonymized and/or aggregated wherever possible.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), to the extent non-essential cookies/tracking technologies are used.
9. Disclosure to Third Parties
Your data is disclosed to third parties only where:
- necessary for contract performance (e.g. HubSpot as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR),
- you have given explicit consent,
- there is a legal obligation to do so,
- necessary for the enforcement of legal claims.
We have data processing agreements (DPAs) under Art. 28 GDPR in place with all external service providers processing data on our behalf.
10. Retention Period
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose, or as required by statutory retention periods. Afterwards, the data is deleted or anonymized.
11. Data Security
We use technical and organizational measures (including SSL/TLS encryption of data transmission) to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access.
